Back in 1993, the company provided tableting, hard gel encapsulation and powder blending to the nutraceutical market. As product demand increased, The Group moved to a new, larger premises in Bispham, Lancashire and were shortly afterwards awarded a GMP Manufacturing Licence, & BRC Certification. In its recent history, Nutrition Group acquired two further companies that offered additional services within the same industry: Gelfi, a specialist supply company built on the provision of generic softgel and specialist formulation products and NatraHealth, a contract packer and private label supplier to multiple retailers. Both of these businesses have now been fully integrated into the Nutrition Group facility.
Currently, Nutrition Group specialises in product formulation, New Product Development (NPD), tablet manufacturing, capsule manufacturing, blister packing, powder blending, packing and sourcing raw materials, producing 3 billion tablets and 500 million capsules per year, whilst packing over 5 million pots and handling over 4500 metric tons of powder per year. To coincide with the company’s twentieth year in business, The Group is investing 2 million pounds in a brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, due to open in Olympic Way, Blackpool in early 2014.
